Cold, frozen in place, unable to move. My legs lay motionless, as if they were tied down by  invisible strings of spiders silk. I lay there, panting and in shock as my dream slowly dwindles away, becoming but a memory of a far off nightmare in a matter of mere minutes. Still, the images that had dared to remain, to reside in the deepest parts of my mind, they haunt me as I stare at a picture of a broken man on the wall. Staring at the empty shell of the man they once were. The same eyes that had always looked back were now watching in terror, but were they really? Were they really the same? Or had they changed?
